Hello
My name is Maryim but most people call me Mimi. I’m married to an amazing long-suffering husband who knows more about the menopause than any man should know, and a mother to two super kids – one of each!
I divide my time working between the NHS and my Ready For Menopause workshops.
I’ve worked in women’s health for the last 18 years – as a nurse, midwife, SARC support worker and currently in sexual and reproductive health clinics in my local area. Previously I trained and worked as a nurse and midwife in Dublin, Ireland.
I am incredibly passionate about women’s health and the need for us to be heard, understood and supported. I want to educate and empower women who are on their menopause journey so they understand the changes that are happening to them and can make their own informed choices to improve health and wellbeing.
I began my own menopause journey aged 43 (although in hindsight I saw changes beginning even earlier) I have personal experience alongside the knowledge and qualifications I bring
from my profession.
I love reading (a lot!), Pilates, walking in the Chilterns, cooking, travelling and connecting with my wonderful friends, and a glass of bubbly (or two!)
My qualifications:
• Register Adult Nurse
• Dip in Nursing
• BSc Sexual Health
• Postgraduate Dip in Midwifery
• Menopause Nurse Education Course
• BMS Certificate in Principles and Practice of Menopause Care
• CBT for Menopause Certificate
Membership –
• British Menopause Society
